EDTEC Partners:

In early months of the year 2000, Kennedy and his comprades led by Mr. Francis Opiyo, conceived a vision to meet the needs of orphans and extremely poor children in Kenya.  They wanted to provide a quality early childhood education for these children.  In February 2002 this vision became a reality.  They called it, “EDTEC (Education Training and Enterprise Center).”

Since 2002, EDTEC has provided basic computer literacy training to over 2,000 out of school youths. This has enabled many youths to get employment and others to start their own business. EDTEC ICT Hub has been in the forefront in provision of computer services to the cottage industries in Mbita. In the year 2011, EDTEC started an Academy to provide education to children ages 2-12.

The work at EDTEC is organized around community based organizations (CBO's) with links and experience in community development. We jointly work with the following CBO's; Community Initiatives and Social Support Organization(CISSO) & Mercy Youth Initiative (MYI) to support the school> Through these CBO's we have received in-kind and financial support from  different people, organizations and institutions globally. The common bond is our and partners passion of helping orphaned poor children get education, shelter and healthcare. These institutions and individuals are:
